Brief Description:

was required to work on Windows, UNIX and
Solaris platforms. They gave the contract
to Modular after carefully evaluating Modular's
credentials. The software development was
completed in the stipulated time period.
The development was done in C++. The customer
has developed confidence in Modular's capabilities,
and has given a software maintenance contract
for the upgrades (which may be required in
future) for the next year’s.

Brief Description:
Modular InfoTech has developed a software
module for Microsoft which is a product
named "Indic
IME 2". Microsoft has been shipping
Indian language support for Hindi, Hindi
Traditional, Marathi, Konkani, Sanskrit
and Tamil languages with Windows 2000.
But the
IME available in Windows 2000 supports
INSCRIPT as the keyboard layout for all
the above
mentioned languages. With Indic IME 2,
this facility of inputting text is being
extended
by providing support for other popular
keyboard layouts for all the above mentioned
languages.
Indic IME 2 provides support for Typewriter
Keyboard Layout for Hindi, Hindi Traditional,
Marathi, Konkani and Sanskrit. For Tamil
language, Indic IME 2 supports Typewriter,
Tamil 2, and Transliteration keyboard layouts.
Indic IME 2 is an additional IME input
application for inputting text in Indian
languages in
all the Microsoft Office XP Applications.
This includes MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access,
MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS FrontPage.
Indic IME 2 is available as a free download
to all the users from the Microsoft Web
site. Once downloaded and installed, Indic
IME
2 will allow you to type in Hindi, Marathi,
Sanskrit, Konkani and Tamil language. Indic
IME 2 requires Windows 2000 or above as
the Operating System.

Brief Description:
Modular Infotech has worked for newspapers
for Indian language solutions and developed
software for newspapers for their advertisement-billing
system for Ads displayed in the newspaper
and PTI (Press trust of India) news collection
system. Daily Prabhat, a well known newspaper
in Pune, India, was using a total manual
system for advertisement - booking and billing.
They were facing lot of problems in the billing
process in terms of keeping track of outstanding
amount of the bills. Modular Infotech has
given software solution to Daily Prabhat
using Delphi 6.0 and MS SQL server.

Brief Description:
Tarun Bharat, a well known newspaper in
Nagpur, India, wanted to develop a software
for the News Collection from Press Trust

of a Delphi 6.0 based software with MS SQL
server as the backend database server. This
software reduced the efforts in collecting
news, deleting unwanted news items, archiving
and retrieval of news-data and reduced the

Brief Description:
HP India required an edit component for an
e-Governance project which they were developing
for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Brief
Description:
In a view to enter in Indian Language market
Microsoft Corporation came out with an idea
of localizing Windows XP and Office 2003.
In mid 2002 team from Microsoft made survey
in India and as a result of the survey, Modular
Infotech proved out to be the most experienced
and trusted company in India for Localization
needs of Microsoft. As a result of this,
Modular was awarded the Localization project
for Office 2003 for Hindi language. The first
localization project was completed within
time with quality up to the mark required
by international standards. This version
of Office 2003 was recently launched by Microsoft
in India.
In this project a specially designed tool
called as localization studio from Microsoft
has been used. In the process of localization
all menus, messages, dialog boxes, Help files,
and manual has been translated to Indian
languages. In the localization project, while
translating a particular sentence it is very
important to check the context of translation.
The work involved the Graphical User Interface
(GUI) testing and validation.

of digital publishing of big libraries and
publishers. Digital publishing involves scanning
of the hard copies of the books, refining
the scanned pages, image processing as per
customer specification, and finally print
on demand (POD) file generation. Modular
has the necessary equipment which is mainly

skilled manpower required for further e-book

Brief Description:
The client required to develop the Milk Densitometer
equipment on a turnkey basis. The
Specifications were given by the client.
This involved designing and implementation
of the complete instrument – the hardware,
firmware, mechanical and electrical system,
display, and enclosure. Modular did the complete
designing of the Microprocessor board, display
and keyboard panel, stepper-motor interface,
the firmware, the mechanical system (using
Linear Motion bars and ball-bushes) and the
enclosure. The mechanical and electrical
fabrication was done outside Modular as per
Modular design. Modular did the complete
system integration, testing to specifications
and commissioning. The Microprocessor used
was the Intel 8052 variant (made by Phillips
with 64 K memory). The system measured the
temperature compensated density of milk sample,
displayed it on the display and printed the
results on a standard 80 column Dot Matrix
Printer. The Instrument also had a serial
interface with IBM-PC Tools used for development – PC-based
C Compiler for 8052, ALL-11 programmer, Tektronix
Digital Oscilloscope.

Brief
Description:
The client required a CNC Drilling Machine
with X-Y table driven by stepper motors,
ball-screws and riding on LM guides. The
work done by Modular involved the hardware
design, interface with IBM-PC, software design
interfacing with stepper motor drives, integration,
system testing. The processor used was Intel
486 processor. The firmware was entirely
written in assembly language. The hardware
and software was integrated and tested as
per specifications.
