Email : Recently I have purchased Ankur...While typing Tamil in Windows 8 and Word 10 it is not detecting automatic application detection and set font on script change.

Please follow below procedure:
1. Open Ankur 2.0-32 bit Icon
2. Go in Application Type1 -> Select Ms Word 2003/XP/2007 Application manually
3. Please uncheck Automatic Application type option
4. Now check with Word 2010

Set Font on script change option -> This works only upto Word2007 version

Email : Sir I am using Shree-Lipi 6.0 since 2007-2008 on Windows XP but today I buying new pc and I install Windows 7 64bit. As soon as I started Shree-Lipi installation it gave error code 4, so please give me solutions.

This is to inform you that Shree Lipi 6.0 is not compatible to Windows 7 operating system. Thus you need to upgrade Shree Lipi 6.0 to Shree Lipi 7.3 which is the latest version and is compatible with Windows 7 32 bit & 64 bit as well as Windows 8 32 bit & 64 bit. For upgradation details kindly contact our marketing department.

After the prestigious 'Prabhat Khabar', 'Ranchi Express', 'Ananda Bazaar Patrika', 'Bartaman' & 'Uttar Banga Sambad' Orders in Jharkhand & West Bengal, the years 2013 & 2014 saw the launch of several smaller Newspapers throughout Eastern India based on 'Shree-Lipi' software. Airtel to use Shree-Lipi

M/s Bharti Airtel Ltd., one of the leading Mobile & Broadband Service Providers in India, previously got their Print & Video Campaigns done through various Ad Agencies using varied Multilingual softwares. In 2014, the Management Committee of Airtel decided to standardise on a single Vendor & Typeface for each Indian Language for their Campaigns. Leading Ad Agencies handling their work were requested to suggest Vendors & Typefaces for their individual circles.

1) How to Install New Softdog USB Lock Drivers, If Required

Even though USB lock drivers get automatically installed during installation of Shree-Lipi software, sometimes it is required that USB Lock drivers get installed first. To do this

Open Shree-Lipi DVD.
Select Drivers Folder.
From This folder select SOFTDOG folder.
Select Softdoginstdrv.exe file. This will install Softdog lock drivers.
After installation of driver files restart the machine and do the Installation further.

Note that it is necessary to install driver files and software installation in administrator mode.

2) Is it possible for me to use two different Softwares, which are developed by Modular Infotech with different locks, for example Samhita and Shree-Lipi?

No, it is not possible for you to use two different Modular softwares on one machine if these are not compatible. You will get unauthorized font error and you will not be able to type correctly as per keyboard layout set. If you approach to Modular Infotech then you may get compatible software to avoid further errors.

Tips on InDesign

Switching Units Quickly from Picas to Millimeter or any other unit in InDesign
Instead of going through InDesign's preferences to change units, go directly to the info palette. If it is not already open go to Window > Info. On the palette you will see a little triangle symbol next to the cross-hair. Click this and select your preferred unit.

How to Ignore Text Wrap using InDesign?
If you have a body of text that needs to fit on a picture that has text wrap applied, do the following so the copy doesn't disappear. Select the text frame, right click and go to Text Frame Options, tick Ignore Text Wrap box. This can be useful for placing captions or photo descriptions.

Switch between Character and Paragraph Using InDesign Control palate
To toggle between Character and Paragraph Formatting Controls (located in the Control panel), press Ctrl-Alt-7. This is very useful for those who wish to minimize use of mouse while typing any text data.
