I get characters from the embosser all right, but they are mostly the letter x and they don't seem to have many spaces. Could it be the Braille translator messing up my document? Romeo 25 & Romeo Pro 50


This sounds more like a baud rate error. The embosser and your computer are probably set to different baud rates. Change the one which is easier to adjust. Since the baud rate or speed of data transfer cannot be set or changed in a parallel interface, the most likely cure for "garbage" characters in a parallel printout is to try a different parallel interface cable.
