While typing in PageMaker 6, 6.5, 7.0. some characters are not coming (Inverted comma appears in its place)

Disable 'Typographers quotes' option from 'Preferences' from PageMaker.
1. Open PageMaker file.
2. Click on < File >.
3. Click on < Preferences >.
4. Click on < General >.
5. Click on < More >.
6. Disable < Typographer's quotes >.

In addition, always disable Convert quotes option in File => Place option
Similarly you can check different options in different applications.

For Quark Express: Uncheck Smart Quotes- From Edit option - Preference- Application

For InDesign: Uncheck Use Typographers quotes - from Edit option - Preference - Type option.
