There are many people having plenty of excel files in Excel 97-2003. If they have upgraded their Excel version then by default all files are saved in XLSX format in the new version. Sometimes this may create problems with import filter, formats. To overcome this issue, user can save documents in old format. To do this he has to select office button - Options and choose Excel Options - Save. Under Save Workbooks - select Excel 97-2003 Workbook and click OK. This will save all files in old format.
